This investigation I have just realised should have been posted as the 1st investigation because it’s more of a first experiment using footage and voice. What I realised, is that although I enjoy listening to Penelope speak, I think there is more interesting ways I could edit and lay the audio. I will experiment with cutting it up into segments or ‘vignettes’ and seeing how just a single motif can inform something about her personality. I think whole beats of memory recounts probably isn’t necessary for what I am trying to achieve. I don’t want to force the audience to see or understand anything, I would rather like to present moments, snap shots, motifs for them to experience and respond to rather than a complete thought or idea. I’d rather present the essence or a moment of something and allow the audience to have their own experience with the other bits of media like the footage and images. I also feel like the images don’t have to be for as long as they are. I can experiment with text or black screen, with my audio coming through and giving that more of a voice. I don’t think I need to cover the piece with Images or footage..
