HOME CINEMA

‘Home Cinema’ is a short film that tells the story of a man driven to despair during lock down. Haunted by the very wall’s he once called home… now transformed into his prison. (Perhaps he is being just a little dramatic) Having exhausted the content of all available streaming services, he longs to return to the cinema to see something new.

This short film was created by Wanyun Tang, Mark Cassarino and Bridgette O’Byrne, developed from a pitch through script writing, filming, editing and the final product. The story inspired by our own (and surly many others) longing to visit the cinema over this past year.

The short films serious and dramatic cinematography and visual styling juxtaposes its comedic and hyperbolic dialogue. Acknowledging the genuine yearning many have experienced this past year for the return of a cinematic experience. Whilst confessing to the triviality of wanting to return the cinema in such a turbulent time.
