In last week’s Networked Media class, I was taught the basics of HTML and coding. I had always wanted to experience this side of the technological universe. It is after all, the foundations of pages on the Internet. It has certainly been in my perspective, one of the best learning experiences, in terms of broadening skills and opening future possibilities. Now I’m not trying to say that I want to become a software developer and work in IT at a desk all day or anything like that, but it is certainly good to possess a basic HTML knowledge. Every business inside every industry in today’s era has some form of website and online components. It is particularly relevant within the Media sector, due to the heavy online presence.

Today I sat the ‘exam’ (more of a submission of last week’s coding, amongst chatter and with the help of Google at the point of a finger). It was a breeze and I laughed my way through it. In fact, since I’d already completed the set task and all I had to do was a simple copy/paste upload. I built another page to ensure my knowledge stuck, which took you here. ItĀ revolves around some earlier inside jokes between Michael, Kerri, Angus and I while reminiscing about our sorely missed childhoods.Webpage
