Throughout my next few blog posts, I will be discussing the components of our upcoming film Enfants Curieux.

Part One: Characters

• We aim not to give our characters an obvious personality but instead leave it up to the observer to fill in the gaps and think about how the children have come to inhabit the characteristics they posses.

• The gender of our two protagonists is not of great concern as it is not vital or impactful on the themes or plot of the film. In our inspirational research, you have seen that we commonly use photos of two young girls, however this is not set in concrete and for the time being is just a simple visualisation.

• Our other two characters are even more ambiguous, but if I went into too much detail about their role, I’d be giving too much away, so you’ll have to wait and see. No one likes spoilers!
