Meeting 4 minutes

Today in class Dylan was away, which left Ariff and I to flesh out the rest of the project.
Ariff actually brought a lot to the the table. Like A LOT. He had written out multiple paragraphs on the case study of Malaysian media and how it works. I made sure to let Dylan know as we were messaging on Facebook. He was pleased.

What we discussed:

  • The general format of the website – what can be changed?
  • How do we think we can improve what’s already been written?
  • What things can we add to the site that make it more interactive rather than just text the whole way through.

We also had to present our draft in front of the class. I was not really prepared in terms of a speech for this, and following on from the other groups whose products did the talking, I found we were having to explain everything the whole way through, because ours lacked the interactivity that others had. I spoke off the cuff about the context of what we were discussing, and Ariff briefly touched on Malaysian media. It was suggested by Rachel that, unsurprisingly, we find a way to include more videos/images into our work. Also, we were advised to include a context page so that it does the talking for us. We both agreed that this was a good way to go.

We have set up our final group meeting for next Tuesday where we can hopefully smash out the final parts and discuss what videos/images from a range we selected to put in.
