The main concept of the video is about ‘Space and time for contemplation beyond our everyday life’. In order to keep thinking the same content: compare with ocean and COVID-19, therefore this weekly video will continue as last week, still through the fish tank to image the sea (The detail of concept please through this link to check: http://www.mediafactory.org.au/yuyan-gan/2020/08/16/pv-reflection-4/). The difference is I am creating a dreamland for this time and is through the effect to reach the objective, make the viewing effect more sense of reality.
The background voice is the same as last week reflection, is recording when last time shooting. But is made some change effect (slow down the sound) , appear more like under the sea.
What did you learn from the authoring and publishing process?
To be honest, I don’t learn any new thing from this time process authoring and publishing, maybe because of the video shooting through phone, therefore it makes me lazy. I can finish all the things though one app and just move my two fingers. If I can editing by Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro or other software than I believe I will learn a lot of new things, such as colour effect. Second, because of the structure of the fish tank, this time I still using establishing shooting way to complete the recording, but I did move my camera to shoot every different fish tank.
How do the affordances of Instagram affect the way video content is authored？
Personly, I don’t think affordances of Instagram will affect the way of video content authored. In the beginning, it did affect the way of video content authored, but after evolved as the time passing, the limitation changes. For me, Instagram just media platform to share the image or video, and it did not affect the video content.
In conclusion, although through the phone to shooting is very convenience, but it makes people lazier and lazier and can not improve the technical skill in many ways. Because some of the applications are so comprehensive, such as clapping and Instagram. They have a strong and powerful colour filter, even you don’t understand the knowledge of colour, you still can make your video as perfect.
