This lecture was focused around the questions from my tute! As a super hip cool class we were able to give i think 3 questions for the symposium to answer!
Here are the dump notes I took from this weeks lecture…

the internet has no limit – scale free

complete hierarchy in university (building one)

Heritage media – newspapers television and the radio

newscorp prophits down 320 million from last year

all on the down due to being centralized media

programmers rule

in scale free network there is no centre, hubs matter. Hubs are defined by how many connections there are in and out!

You get jobs from loose ties but not close ties, weak ties are important

Google is a hub – lots of people link to hit who have no connection to it.

Reliance on electricity will die due to the fact that it doesn’t have the capability of keep growing

The internet is limited by the people who are unable to access it

Network of people – connected by the web
