1. How did you author (the photo or video) you recorded for upload to Instagram?
I authored this video through the Instagram app to get the same square video image as the still shot image I’d previously posted. This video is a similar walk-by of a row of doors that I walk past quiet often. I particularly walked this way on this day just to get this video for my account. I thought it would be a nice first video post, and in-touch with my on the go, walk past, quick and easy upload theme.

I didn’t put a filter on this video. And after re-watching the video I noticed how shaky my video hand is (haha). Instagram doesn’t really have a slow mo or speed up button that I could find to make this video maybe a bit ‘cooler’.. But I felt it was the best I could do for a first shot at ever taking a video within the app.

2. How did you publish (the photo or video) you recorded for upload to
Instagram?
I had to take two or three goes at taking this video, which was a bit awkward as people around were probably unsure why I kept walking up and down the same street… The first video was to quick, the second even more shaky than the one I posted! I also found the sound annoying and felt it took away from the video, so I muted it.

After editing I added a simple caption, again with the theme of the street address. I also included the same hashtags, including #doorsofinstagram. This was another quick and easy publication of image/video.

3. How did you distribute (the photo or video) you published on Instagram to
other social media services?
I shared this post across to my personal Instagram account, by taking a screenshot of the post and sharing it on my story for my other account. I then created a caption and tagged in my @doors_withhannah account. I have had experience sharing across from Instagram to other social media platforms previously and find it a smooth and instant process.

I added hashtags to my caption which helped distribute this video, similar to my first post. Using #doorsofinstagram and #networkedmedia I found that I again gained a few more followers and likes.
