Week 8? Week 8. Sure.
Yep. Bec’s video again. She duz sum good videos. I assume this is for the fast, multiple-shot sketch task.
So I chose this sketch vid to look at because I LOVE one particular shot in it – the fourth shot. The shot from the perspective of the computer screen. It is so PRETTY. Extreme close up of fingers tapping keyboard, with crazy colours of bright pink/purple fingers and blue everything else (from the screen light / keyboard lights). It is so goddamn pretty. Plus I love ECUs. It’s so close up that it seems jarring how fast the fingers are typing.
I also really like the bird’s-eye shot of fingers typing. Another favourite type of shot of mine.
It’s nice how the progression of editing speed matches the song’s progression. However, the first few times I watched it, it felt like the opening two shots lingered a little too long. But that’s just me – and I’m currently in the mindset of insane Aronofsky-esque cuts and close-ups. So my mind is currently warped and not to be trusted.
One other thing I liked was how the keyboard tapping complemented the song rhythm. Dat waz kewl 2.
