I was watching (binging) the TV show Please Like Me, and after having read David Gauntlett’s Introduction it allowed me to bring his points on how creators make media, and how making is the central point of media.

Josh Thomas, being the creator of Please Like Me, is a prime example of being a media creator. This show is not only extremely humorous but also covers serious topics that are part of everyday society. Such topics include mental illnesses, homosexuality and trying to find an identity.

I find this show very important and educational in expressing these topics. Thomas has been able to educate his viewers in such a creative way and intriguing way, much more intriguing (in my opinion) than a piece of text where these topics are defined and explained in chunky paragraphs. Thomas shows how media creating can benefit others.
