Blindfold (Ziyi)

The most challenging part of making this film is the storyboard. I found it very difficult to visually present out the idea I have in my head because I am bad at drawing and I am not a very good artist. Therefore, the storyboard I made is very simplistic and easy to read as it would have to be understood by others.

Below is part of the storyboard.

Before shooting, I was asked to do the vision animatics. I did it around the time of noon, and the image turned out to be too bright and over-exposed and the tone seemed unnatural. Therefore, when the shooting was commenced at night in order to avoid this issue.

Through this shooting, I realized that I only know about the most basic and simplest skills of video shooting. One of the scenes in the film was a scene of two characters in the living room. One character wants to move towards the other and I tried three different angles to shoot this scene, but it still doesn’t meet the effect I want. Thus, the time of shoot this film took is more than I expected.
