Katz, Steven, “Elements of The Continuity Style”, “The Moving Camera”, Shot by Shot, Michael Wiese Production, June 1991, p 121 – 158, 279 – 336

Steven Katz book Shot by Shot is a great book to understand Cinematography and Direction. The part ‘The Moving Camera’ is more about camera angles with panning and dolly shot use. But on understanding these camera angles and filmic tools, you understand that it can be used to create the invisible cut in editing. The book hardly talks about the Invisible Cut, but once you understand the Invisible Cut and come back to these traditional filmic tools of shooting, you understand that it is not hard to get the invisible cut more than that, it is kind of fun to shoot it in such a manner and find out how that cut will eventually come to be on screen.
