Not a Question, but a Thinkabout

I’ve considered that technology, techniques and procedures are not necessarily separate from culture. they’re transporters or enablers for cultural literacy in the modern, globalised world.

from the Industrial revolution to the cultural revolution in arts, screen printing (example from symposium), Vines, Instagram, fashion blog flat-lays, greater reach, greater exposure, greater ideas.  These technologies stem from cultural/creative desires- not completely independent anymore, but greatly influenced.

The other question raised was the the definition of what is Art, Technology and Culture now? people have big ideas to share easily, trends are picked up and spat out, information is immediate and these definitions are redefined each click of a button and uploaded or deleted. They are fluid, indeterminate and evolving alongside on and off the grid.
