Progress As a Media Practioner

Each Episode had its own ups and downs and it would be not much of an experience if I didn’t have a proper chance to reflect on them each.

Episode 1:

Within the first episode, there were many bumps most evidently me and Emman were rushing to prepare all the EVS to work on time, leading to some of the videos being felt rushed and that EVS wasn’t working properly leading to many people’s ears bleeding as one of the audio clips not working properly. Another issue that I noted was that the camera was not working properly leading to me basically holding the camera up as my tilt lock wasn’t working.

Episode 2:

Within this episode I saw some more problems, one was losing studios C and D leading to us having to move things that were originally filmed there moving to EVS. We also had issues as Audio, EVS and communication were not up properly leading to things not entirely working during rehearsals, especially EVS. One other issue that we had was that there were 8 characters with a speaking role at the end of the show yet we only had 5 mics, this led to a lot of creativity to make sure to get everyone a mic that needed one, this led to me physically running on stage to pull mics off people to give to people that needed them, would be great to notify that the mics were originally also missing as well.

But at the end of the day that is a media production, it is never going to be a rollercoaster.
