The rough cut class was very helpful. Our rough cut was…very rough, but Rohan gave us a lot of good stuff to think about.

We need better b-roll, and more b-roll. We’re organising that now, so that’s definitely happening, and I’m going to have to put in a lot more hours of editing. I’m actually kind of excited – in media class in Year 12 we had a huge editing session to finish our final assessments, and it was incredibly tiring but we got a lot done.

I love editing! And I’m learning a LOT, which I’m really excited about. For example, I had completely forgotten how to change audio levels in the timeline, and figuring that out again (and also learning the pen shortcut) was really useful, as was how to use the in and out buttons to add snippets of a piece of film. I’d always dragged the whole thing in and cut it there, but that function has changed my life.
