Week 2 Tutorial

I have to say, if you’re looking for an effective way to get uni students to participate, bribing us with candy is a fantastic way to get that going. I’d like to request that this become a staple part of our curriculum moving forward.

I got a much better sense of what this course is going to be from this tute. We met Jason, our fearless leader, which brought a sense of security about, now that we know we won’t be moved from tutor to tutor like orphan children (insert violin music here). I’m looking forward to having a record of the class on this blog! I’m one of those nerds who likes to keep my essays and things to look back on when I’m old(er). So this will accomplish that without killing the rainforest at the same time, hooray!

We got a lot of the things that you’d usually do in week 1 out of the way in this class, as Jason was MIA last week. The assessments sound do-able, I’m happy we’ll be covering basic HTML so I can expand my techie geekiness, and the creative essay sounds like a good multimedia challenge. Then we got all set up with our blogs, and made sure WordPress wouldn’t overwhelm anyone, then set off on our merry ways to create amazing and witty blog content!
