For my final project I plan to create two short videos linking it to the idea of immersion and what makes something immersive. I will mostly be drawing the ideas of immersion from film studies that we have looked at across the semester but also my own research and findings through Project Brief 3.

Some of these ideas include the ideas of immersion and mood- how the cinematic elements contribute to the mood/tone of the scene and the overall film.

The first video will be driven more by the narrative and the storyline of a journey. Where it will be a simple beginning to end and easy to understand piece. I still want the piece to keep the audience curious about where the character will go. The idea of the journey storyline will also enable me to try and use many of the immersive techniques and hopefully still be able to experiment.

The other video will not follow a narrative structure and will instead be similar to Project Brief 2. The main focus will be how sound and vision work together and how it can have different effects. I want to experiment with the changing tempo, mood and colour of the video and match all of these changes with the soundtrack and other audio as much as possible.
