In this week’s workshop we shared Project Brief 2 with other group members in order to get feedback. It has been a week since we originally received feedback for our rough draft. I am happy with how I was able to improve my video with the feedback I got from a simple slideshow to using more creative effects while still being able to communicate something about myself. I thought of specific questions to ask in order to see if there is anything I can improve on in time.
I asked:
- Do the transitions work?
- Do the effects fit in with the video?
- Does it say something about myself?
- Is there anything I can improve on?
I also was able to get feedback on what was working in my self-portrait. Such as the title that I created that the text looked good and worked well with the video and the footage of the books appearing with the tennis balls. So I was able to get a sense of what to keep and therefore focus on other aspects of my video.
In response to my question, I received feedback on some of the transitions. Which I was able to adjust before uploading again to YouTube by making the fade out at the end of the self-portrait a bit slower so it flows on nicely.
