I really just want to reiterate to every single person that will ever read my blog posts that I DO NOT LIKE VIDEO EDITING. I will always put in 100% into every single piece of work I do, however I have to admit that my motivation levels have dropped significantly whenever I realise a video is an assignments final outcome – this is why I pushed so hard for a website to be the final media outcome for Brief 4.

I’m not going to lie, I have had a difficult time with Media 1 and understanding why the whole first half of this course has been solely dedicated to film editing. For someone with no experience, I was pushed right into my first assignment with very little knowledge. It was exciting to get my first mark back and to receive a distinction, but with my most recent assignment, Brief 3, I was discouraged to receive a 68/100 for it. It’s discouraging to me because I am getting the same grading and scaling as someone who has a background in film editing. At the end of the day, I am hoping that next semester is a little different so there is a bit more variety throughout this course!
