I want to use a blog post this week to reflect on the intention behind our PB 4. Our topic is Audiences and we have decided to do a parody of an online reality dating show star and follow her on various social media platforms as she launches her media career.
Cate Klancey AKA C.K AKA @CateKlancey has been born. So far she has her own twitter and Instagram account and is about to launch her YouTube channel that covers scandalous reveals of her experiences on the show as well as promo for her future projects and aspirations.
The reason we decided to do this is because we wanted to look at audiences from both a production and reception point of view. Because reality TV is becoming one of the main TV network screen times, exploring this subject matter seemed appropriate. It was also a subject we could promote on familiar social medias and follow what sort of response we got and how, keeping a close look on what people find engaging and popular. So far she has a following on Instagram that we will use to promote her YouTube clips. Hopefully she is a success! More on her soon x
