Since its opening in 1936 The Astor Theatre has played host to a wide array of social events and gatherings. Presented within the theatre itself, Any Given Tuesday facilitates audience attunement and explores durational listening and within the iconic St Kilda venue. According to philosopher Roman Krznaric, we as a society “..are trapped in a kind of myopia”, focused on the present and perpetually falling forward (Saltmarshe, 2021). It was this kind of short-sightedness that my work aimed to combat.

Through the completion of this work I further developed my skills in camera manipulation – working regularly within dark and cramped spaces, as well expanded my understanding of non-chronological storytelling.
