The Immortality Chip – Lachie Falzon

 

 

A sci-fi masterpiece, The Immortality Chip is about future celebrity Elliot Thunderstar as he loses support of the public. But, when he’s an immortal and the chips come based on your popularity, Thunderstar will have to save his image to save his life.

When making this film, I decided to be ambitious and create multiple methods of presenting to the audience. We see Thunderstar in an ad, in a livestream and even in a VR world. This film really showed me that sometimes its more interesting to think of different ways to convey information.

I am absolutely stoked that I chose what was almost definitely the best studio I could. I learnt so much about creating character and how it’s an absolutely essential part of the filmmaking process. Thanks to Getting into Character, my work with my wonderful group The Allies and my time creating Thunderstar, I have never before been more confident with my abilities to create compelling films.

I cannot wait to see what I do next, but for now, it’s time to truly enjoy the absolutely fantastical The Immortality Chip
