Iso-Exploring is a story about someone who is already living in isolation. During this time, instead of experiencing the environment around him by going outdoors, he prefers to experience it through the wonders of technology.

Motivation:

So what motivated me to create such a film is because I just don’t watch documentaries, not even as a way to pass time. Instead of watching documentaries, I generally prefer to watch films of other genres and this idea sounded interesting when it was said to me. The idea is to show people how someone like me who has no idea what or how a documentary should be, experiences the environment.

Prompt:

When I was reading the prompt for the project, I wasn’t really sure how I could’ve done the project. First thing that came to mind was recycling just because it’s the most common thing to know about the environment but after getting feedback from Kim, I realised I could create something that could correlate with my own personality. Therefore, I chose to create the film based on my own life, staring at the computer screen almost 24/7 even before this lockdown/quarantine situation.
