Week 7 Update
Excellent work from Jeremy and Adrian with the first video in our series of weekly updates! Check it out here.
Some notes about the Pitch and Proposal
Some good questions came up today about the Pitch and Proposal, so please see my notes below – these are important!
Week 6 Update
New student category in Melbourne WebFest
You should all be aiming to do this with your web series (from the Melbourne Webfest site):
“As a new addition in 2017 we are introducing an award for student series, and student productions can submit at a reduced fee. Submissions in the student category are only eligible for the student award, and will be screened alongside our Spotlight program.”
Notes from Steinar’s Lecture
No doubt you all took plenty of notes during Steinar’s talk – you won’t get much better local insight into web series than that! I’ve put together some notes for review and discussion, firstly in relation to your pitches, then a list of resources that Steinar mentioned.
Updated teaching schedule: Weeks 7-12
I’ve put together an updated class schedule for you all to peruse – after week 7 it’s pretty open (deliberately), but there will be some more definite things that will come up as the weeks unfold.
Also I’ve assigned each group a WIP presentation week – keep in mind that this is just a presentation about where your group is at; you will all be at different stages so really it doesn’t matter when you do it. That said, if you can see any glaring issues with the day you’ve been allocated, please let me know.
Week 5 Update
Thanks Cody & Tyler for the week 5 update
