  1. Continuity and discontinuity editing both have been discussed in this article. Continuity editing also called invisible editing. Using the action matches, eye-line matches, 180-degree rule, 30-degree rule to construct a smooth transmit between shots. On the other hand, Discontinuity editing use visible editing ways to disorient the spatial and temporal relations, leading the viewer not be a passive spectator role anymore. Discordant continuity and ambiguous narration forces the viewer to organize the narrative meaning. The audiences have to explore the character relationships on the screen, playing with their sense of subjectivity, emotional empathy and alienation.
