In the chapter of “A Dialectic Approach to Film Form”, the author points the dynamic idea of Being and Synthesis. As film is an art, the main purpose is to demonstrate the contradictions and conflicts of Being. More importantly, it is the interaction between Being and Synthesis that makes the total dynamism, so that the audience is able to make sense not only time and space but as well as the forming their own logic of the story of the film. Moreover, the author also discusses the one of the other important affects of shots is that it produces emotional influence through the combination of montage.
