Snaps for Kelsey, Mustafa, Lisha and Amelia

Kelsey had some awesome points about the structure of hypertext within books vs. the internet. The way people understand things is contingent on how it’s set up, so it’s an important thing to consider. Check out her post here.

I actually couldn’t find Mustafa’s post. I’m not convinced I could find his blog, actually. Will need to evaluate technical difficulties in the tute tomorrow.

Amelia did a great job with her post. Her blog post was well written, and she raised some good points reflective of Adrian’s regarding education in the symposium. Good connections between the readings and class!

Lisha pointed out, like most of us, that she was surprised how many of the predictions made came true. She also mentions some drawbacks, like how addicted we all are to our mobile phones now, potentially compromising our human interaction. I’d definitely agree with that. I think we’ve all become a bit de-senstitised when it comes to going without human contact for days. I don’t mean seeing and talking to other people, but having actual conversations, or getting a hug from a friend. I think as a society we’ve started undervaluing those things and putting too much stake in how many ‘likes’ we get. But maybe that’s just me.

‘Til next time. (Tomorrow.)
