Land of Zeal

There is no disputing New Zealand’s beauty. It’s everywhere you look, from the amazing lakes, towering mountain ranges and of course all the very attractive and well-groomed sheep.

I had the pleasure of returning to one of my favourite towns in the world during the uni break; a party town fit for a queen. Queenstown is one big meeting point for travellers from all over the world to come together for the amazing snow resorts, crazy extreme activities and to consume as much alcohol of a night as possible.

I myself have graced this wondrous place with my presence several times now, but it never gets old. As a newly converted snowboarder, I love the off-piste runs that The Remarkables have to offer and the fun park terrain that Cardrona boasts. But the ultimate experience when it comes to untouched powder and extreme terrain was delivered when I decided to go Heli-Boarding!

Without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life, to be dropped on the peak of a mountain with only a few other people and no-one else around, and then be able to make my own way down a mountain untracked and full of deep, powdery, white snow. Some of the best lines and powder I have ever experienced (aside from Japan) and definitely some of the gnarliest people to share it with!

Scope out the GoPro video I made of the trip below!
