As we are entering the post-broadcasting era, fandoms are emerging as a general phenomenon on the internet. The sensational outcry of the fans can influence the producers of that media to change their minds after a certain decision is made. One of the early example is Arthur Conan Doyle who was attack on street by Sherlock Holmes fans for him killing Sherlock at the Reichenbach Falls. He had to change his mind and later brought Sherlock back due to such incidents. This has shown how powerful fandoms are.
