Well shoot…

Well shoot…

Anna McLeish dropped out of the seminar… bad news.

We have let things get a bit behind the last couple of weeks. I think it’s because its so easy to lose track of time when our seminar is, or rather was, so far away.

So we got Anna McLeish as our first guest a couple of weeks ago, who is the producer on Snowtown. We had also sent out the feeler emails to our other two guests, both of whom haven’t replied back. It was only a couple of days ago that we sent out another email to another potential guest, Stuart McDonald, who directed Oddball which is coming out in a couple of weeks. I think we were just a bit too hopeful the original emails would get responses and we waited a bit too long to look for other options. We are 3 weeks out and we have no guests. We’ve only sent out 1 new email. At this point we really just need to meet up and really talk out what’s happening and how we can get everything on track again. I’ve been checking IMDB again and looking over our list to help out James with getting those emails sent, but at the moment we’ve just sent the one to Stuart.

On the brighter side of things, we have a really cool mock-up poster that looks pretty impressive. We did a photo shoot today for the real poster and we filmed the promo trailer, which I feature in. Meetings are going well, all of the tech side of the team seem to be on top of everything. Almost everybody is at each of the meetings before and after the seminar class. My only problem at the moment is that I feel like I don’t have much to do at the moment. I know the hosting gig is a huge job in itself, but I haven’t been able to write up questions because of the lack of guests so they only thing I feel like I can do is plan the structure, which is pretty much planned already. There’s only so much I can do at the moment. It was good though today working on the video and photo shoot. I’m sure my contributions will definitely be elevated in the coming weeks leading up to the seminar.
