Scratch that, new idea

So I just stated I wanted to cover a single actor in a scene. The more I thought about it, the more i realised that its probably easier to do that than an interesting and unique coverage of two people.

Some more thoughts procured and I decided I will be focusing on two person dialogue scenes, which will lead to my final project, adapting a sequence from the play, Constellations. I saw Constellations on Broadway in January and it blew my mind. It follows two lovers across a “multiverse”, so essentially each scene plays out 8 or 9 times with the outcomes differing, some drastically, some not so much. So my plan is to film an entire “scene” of the play, repeating it with all the different realities of the scene, which is 8 in the scene I’m looking to do. I plan on doing one or two versions on the first day, then edit them and see how I want to cover the next scene for the next week. The coverage on each version will differ, giving me the opportunity to try out new ways of covering what is essentially the same scene, but with each scene being slightly different, I’m able to keep things fresh not only for me, but the actors working on it. It also will give me a final product that is not just one scene, its everything that I’ve done in the same film.

I’m gonna get on researching these type of scenes soon. More to come.
