What I Learned in Week 3

Just a quick thought on week 3’s coverage exercise. I chose to have two frames for my single shot. I had a mid shot to begin with and a pan to a wide shot. This scene was a dialogue scene. I could have easily just done one half of easy dialogue coverage, but its just such a cop out sometimes I couldn’t allow myself to indulge it. There is always a more creative way to frame a shot, you just have to figure out how.

Everybody else in my group did interesting shots, but most of us (including myself) didn’t work under the constraint that this shot was to be part of a scene. People just like trying new things, so I’m all for creating outlandish shots that work on their own than working on a generic coverage shot meant to work with a bunch of unseen shots.
