Development: Technological Execution

One of the last steps (and probably the most time consuming) is how I am going to execute the project itself – whether or not it will be a series of works, video mosaic, photo mosaic or a singular piece. This execution is particularly important because I want it to best represent my work and the ideas that I want to portray about the media. There are a number of ways in which I could present my work for the major project, whether I want to present a finished work or a subject of works.

A work that has been developed with a similar concept is Matt Soars Ceci N’est Pas Embres and Fibonacci Film which all use the program, Korsakow. This program does not contain all the bells + whistles of something such as Premiere Pro (which, to be honest, can be really frustrating and overwhelming at times) – but provides a simple layout for the click-user interface, with a layout that you design yourself. Although this idea is not exactly how I want to portray my images, going through the rough exercise in the Week 11 class made me think about how individuals notice, and how I notice in particular, when given materials of media – this made me wonder “why did I decide to click on that picture, apart from the other ones? was it focal in the frame? the most colourful? etc” – these are the sort of ideas that I want to reflect on in my final work.
