Observation #1

I was driving to Halls Gap to meet my friends at a cabin we had hired for the week. I had my sister beside me and the road ran in curves down a steep hill. The road was fairly new, it was grey smooth under the tires of the car. However the lane was fairly narrow and on the side was gravel that contained large rocks. The road sliced it’s way through lush green grass that blanketed around the trunks of a dense forest. The vibrant greens contrasted strikingly against the dark grey clouds that rolled through the sky. I wished that I wasn’t driving, that I’d be able to focus wholly on the view and the colours. It reminded me of a place I used to visit years ago when I lived in Tasmania, the same vibrant colours, dense forest and lush grass opened up a feeling of nostalgia.
