Egg Hunting #15 – Rough Cut (Feedback)

Today we showcased our rough cut to the class and got the feedback from our classmates and Rohan. We were only able to show half of the music video since we have not yet finished editing the last part of videos in karaoke.

Here are the feedbacks that I noted down:

  • Change environment noise (DSLR picks up white noise)
  • Music start (fade in, lead up sound, footsteps foley)
  • Cut away (cars pass by, phone playing, phone interface)
  • 0:17 hold wide shot
  • Spot on the NeuMark’s pants (editing)
  • Street scene (the shot when Paola singing chosen love for transition change to environment shot)
  • Spa scene (not enough Paola shots)
  • Spa scene (interact with the beat)
  • Establishing the feeling of hot weather (ice cream, sun)
  • Car scene (film an action of opening car burnet)
  • Car scene (change the sequences)
  • Car scene (close up on Paola ex. she fixes the car)
  • Extra environment shots (Dockland, sunset view, city night view)
  • Change sequence (mid, close up, mid, close up, mid, close up)

The feedback is truly useful for us. We head to editing suites in the afternoon and every member has different work to finish. Our tasks today is to do a shots list, editing (add in titles, faster cuts, cut away), do some environment shots and record the foley for footstep. I think we are on the right track now and I can’t wait to see our final production 🙂
