Looking For Change tells the story of a young woman wanting to embark on a career in the film industry, deterred by the evident lack of female recognition within film, she begins to doubt her chances of success. It isn’t until she finds an old tape with a profile of Australian director, Sue Brooks, that she finds the inspiration she needs to pick up her camera and begin her journey in film.

Looking For Change was evolved from the experience I had in the studio, ‘Women Beside the Screen’, being a hopeful filmmaker myself and worried about the gender bias within the industry. Talking to Sue Brooks helped me regain my confidence and realise it is possible, something I imitated within the protagonist of this film.
