Some notes about the Pitch and Proposal

Some good questions came up today about the Pitch and Proposal, so please see my notes below – these are important!

The main point is the distinction between the Pitch and the Proposal.

The Pitch is the 10 minute presentation that each group will be completing in class this Wednesday.  I have outlined 10 points (in the Assessment Task Sheet) that you should aim to cover, but the key things are equal talk-time/contribution from each member, presenting the concept clearly, and of course, being prepared!  Using a powerpoint can really help this, but make sure that you have prepared what you (individually) need to say, and that this fits in with what each other group member is covering.

The Proposal is a collection of documents/material to be uploaded to a folder on Google Drive, then paste the link to this folder in your individual Submission Google Doc.  Details of what to include in this is also in the AT3 sheet, due Friday this week.

For the proposal Bio & CV, I would recommend creating a LinkedIn profile (or update an existing one) for each Media student, then include links to these as part of your proposal.  This will cover both you bio and CV in one.  The Writing students don’t need to do this (but bonus if they do).

Very much looking forward to seeing your pitches on Wednesday!
