SUSTAINED INTERACTION: PEER REVIEW

Peer Review

Jenna Zhang

It is quite obvious that Jenna extended her previous assessment of maze and the result is amazing. Through her final assessment, I realised that she has a deep understanding of how to use Max/Msp and can handle this software skill-fully. Surprised me her creativity and technicality, it is successful regarding her idea, integrity and interaction with players. Multi-sensation has been received from her project due to sound effects, setting, fluency of the process and interesting playground. Hardly can find something need to improve, maybe improve the difficulties of the game or select better sound effects? I have learnt her effort on building all the detail, her great idea and also an appropriate use of Max.

Kebby Xie

What Kebby created is exactly what I wanted to make, but gave up due to the hardness. The idea was come from the game Flappy Bird and surprised me that she completed successfully. Moreover, she combined what we had been taught about FaceOSC and jit.gl.model into the game to improve the difficulties of the game. Sounds and background setting were not forgotten by her to make the entire game more complete. To improve, maybe she should consider adding more levels or longer pillars to challenge audiences. Definitely success on interaction with audiences and completion. She did not give up the idea like me, instead, completed almost perfectly and add in more elements, that is what I should study.

Trista Zheng
I understand straightaway what Trista create, a piano and music sheet that audiences can follow the sheet to play the piano. What makes me confused was to understand the order of letters and numbers presented since I don’t know any about music or piano. The project is creative and challenging since the audiences have to use both hands to press their keyboard at the same time. It creates interaction with the audiences, but maybe consider to write some notes/instruction for audiences to fully understand the operation easily. Moreover, adding more elements of videos or other choices of music, set difficulty levels of music can catch audiences’ attention longer. The enjoyment and multi-sensation will be more comprehensive.
