The world of Pokemon is nothing but the symbolism of globalisation. Pokemon is not just an anime television show or game but it is a multi-medium phenomenon. It is a commentary on the globalisation aspects within content of those mediums. Pokémon is one of the ultimate forms of globalization. Before globalization it was unthinkable to develop a game that requires play to complete certain pieces in a geographically different place, but Pokemon turned out to be a global fever. It captures the imagination of the entire world. It was the talking point around the world when it was at its peak. The creators of the game have tried their best to ensure that it conveys the globalisation image. The main series of Pokemon games have transported players to real-world locations such as New York, Japan, and France. There is no use of localisation and this is the reason why people from across the world can relate themselves and have a sense of belongingness.

Workshop 7
To be honest, I haven’t came to the tutorial of the seventh class. But I know the basic contents of the class. Firstly, the teacher showed students the rough cuts of the interview videos of the second project. Though interview was not an interesting thing, I knew the videos of others are creative.
Later, the teacher arranged a new practice, which was harder than the former 2 times practices. We were required to shoot a short video without using any edit software! As a result, a great number of preparation works shall be done before shooting — we should arrange the story frame, shooting location, shooting method, and shooting perspective change, shooting length of all materials, and combination of all scenes etc. Just liked the storyboard before film shooting. Such practice not only enables me to learn the importance of storyboard and arrangement before shooting, but also lets me know that a complete plan and script shall be conducted before shooting.
Workshop 6
For the tutorial of the sixth week, we firstly seen some videos which were mainly about long shot. At first, I thought long shot is about to shooting distance: shooting a certain thing from long distance. While the long shot in the video were continual scenes, without any cutting or camera cut. It was the overall shooting of a same camera. I have seen a Chinese television which was famous for its long shot. This enable me to learn that though the long shot may be ordinary at the first sight, it can manifest the desirable emotional phenomena of the photographer for the best effect.
Off course, we had a practice about long shot. The camera was Sony MC50, the camera of last class. The teacher gave us a topic — Misunderstand. Firstly, she gave us a sheet and asked us to draw the basic story frame at the first. The sheet looked like my former storyboard. At this time, I was the photographer. Our story was about a student who entered in the wrong classroom, which was simple but interesting. In order to highlight the topic, I specifically shot the room number outside the classroom when the student entering. After finishing shooting, all groups displayed their videos, and all videos were funny and creative. I was nervous when seeing others videos, because I was not confident in myself. However, when they seeing our video and laughing , I was relaxed. In my idea, the success video enables the audience to laugh, cry, feel sad or other emotions.
