Live shows or panel shows all have different style and blocking based on their content, but the key elements such as guest and host is vital for a live or panel show. I think talk shows based in studio has similar element, there will be a host or the interviewer and sometimes a side host, and guest(s), they could be celebrities or politicians or everyday people. Also, mutual-camera set up because it is live, whether it is pre-taped or live it is filming in real time and what these cameras do is to capture live moments, scripted or improvised. Most importantly, the audience, they are the people who watch the show without any editing and they could give instant feedback, and sometimes their reaction can be a very important part for us (viewers) to related to content, such as laughing or cryin.
There are there different shots that we can see in a live show, close up shot for facial expression, mid-shot of as the standard talking position, wide shot of overall setting and movement. In different segment, there will be different type of shots involved such as pan or tilt.
