I watched quite a few talk show or studio based shows on Youtube, although these shows is aired through Television, because the time of these show being aired probably clashed with my time and our fast pace life, we like to watch videos without managing the time basically where i want, when i want. People still watching shows or even stay tuned for a program way before it starts on TV just a few years back, I remember when i was little our family always gather around the TV during dinner watching CCTVNews, but nowadays we get these news on our instant social media feed, we received information instantly, and we started to use that time watching shows online using our laptop or phones on Youtube or Netflix. We expected everything to be live and instant. In most of the countries, it has its own streaming culture, video game, mukbang, challenges, or just chatting with their viewers.
In Asian, live-streaming is very different than western and it is also the biggest sensation in the society. Afreeca TV is one of the Korean streaming website, it has some of the top content creator in Korea right now, and it is also where mukbang (live-streaming eating) starts. Youtube is also a platform that people choose to live-streaming , it also has the feature of uploading the video right after livestream ends so people who missed it can still watch it and contribute their though in the live chat.
Mukbang
In China, basically every social media or website have a live stream feature and became a legalised career in the industry and approved by the government, but the content still monitored by Administration of Radio and Television.
