Hi Media 2 and Media 4 s2 2025 students,

Monday June 30 marks the day of receiving your allocated studio for semester 2, 2025 – exciting! We are therefore reaching out to provide some important information regarding studio allocation adjustments. Please read through the following carefully!

Allocation adjustment info

  • You can adjust your allocated studio only via myTimetable from 10am, Monday 30 June to 5pm Friday 25 July (end of week 1). Please be aware studio adjustments close earlier than other courses to minimise disruption to your studio experience. With five hours per-week you have already missed enough!
  • Instructions on reviewing and adjusting your timetable can be found HERE under Step 3: Review and adjust your timetable. Allocation adjustment happens on a first-in, first-served basis, so it’s a good idea to log in early.
  • If the studio you would like to switch into is full, you can join the waitlist via clicking the heart next to this studio in myTimetable. See How do I request a place in a full class? in Class timetables FAQ
  • There is no guarantee you will be able to switch studios so please attend the studio you are allocated from the beginning of week 1. A reminder that every studio offers exciting and sometimes unexpected opportunities to develop your media skills conceptually and technically. We encourage an attitude of bringing yourself to whichever studio you’re allocated to make the most of the experience.
  • Studio adjustments can only be made via myTimetable, where for equity purposes, with nearly 400 students doing a studio, the Media Studio Coordinators cannot perform switches on a case-by-case basis.

  • If you are new to studios, you will need a Mediafactory blog, which you can sign up for via this form.
  • If you have any questions relating to your specific studio, contact your studio leader. If you have any general Media Studio-specific questions or issues, please use this form and we will reply to your student email within 48 hours. Please note that neither studio leaders or coordinators can perform switches.
