AMONGST THE JELLYFISH

Although Lisa has dreamt of being a performer since before she can remember, she never quite thought that would entail transforming into a mermaid everyday. On a typical day in her life as a performer at Melbourne’s SEA LIFE, she spends 90 minutes getting into character, before bringing joy to children and diving into the behind-the-scenes world of an aquatic playground. Despite loving her job, Lisa is one of many performers facing the challenges young creatives are constantly up against in an increasingly competitive industry. AMONGST THE JELLYFISH is a 5-minute fish-out-of-water documentary about a passionate young entertainer and her journey to pursue a career in the entertainment industry in Melbourne.
