My final sketch was an interview with Sienna Curnow, delving into her favourite documentary and the aspects of which have had an impact with her. My aim in this piece was to create a raw interview with no editing in order to create a piece that demonstrated a somewhat natural conversation.
Reviewing Youtube clips, instagram and facebook videos it is apparent that the general aim is to create a clean cut that is appealing to the viewer. However; my aim in this piece was to generate a work that was able to display a realistic point of view. Taking this approach, I believe was able to capture the realistic emotion and provide an understanding into the realism of personal interest and the impacts media can have on people.
In conclusion; what I had set to do was achieved, however it may have been more effective if Sienna and myself sat in an adjacent position to each other. Conducting this seating arrangement may have allowed me to zoom into the interviewee and resulting on more of an emotional impact. As well as this; it would have improved the form of the sketch.
