Well, time goes fly. We completed this course.

Looking at the blogs I completed before, I found that I really learned a lot during this semester. When I first came into contact with this course, I was particularly looking forward to it. This course is made up of students from media and creative writing. From the grouping of each assignment, the teacher also hopes that the two professional students can discuss and complete together.

For me, through these few assignments, I think collaboration is very important. Our assessments are using some kinds of materials to convey a certain emotion or feeling to the audience through video. For example, in Brief 1, I want to convey the feelings of people’s mood changes through human movements and expressions. Brief 2 is a theatre or gallery. In this limited space, we can boldly imagine and express our thoughts. Brief 3, we choose a poem, through the video to express the deep meaning of the poem or just translate a poem. Finally, Brief 4, our group chose to focus on the theme of environment.

Of course, when I first came into contact with this class, I was confused. Because creativity thinking is my weakness. Through discussions with my teammates, I found that they have a lot of ideas. That is very interesting. When they shared their ideas to me, these ideas in my mind and I can imagine that. I think it is really useful that we can complete the assessment very well. At the same time, according to their ideas, I joined my own thoughts when shooting videos and editing. After that, I will share the work with my teammates and get some comments by them. I enjoy the process of working with others. I hope that the audience can feel the ideas we want to express through video and artiest statement. There may be sometimes when the ideas we want to present will be a little different from the audiences’ feeling. This does not affect, after all, this is a creative thinking, everyone can express their suggestions for our work.

To be honest, I really like the method of teaching in this course. In addition to the different types of assignments, it is a great experience to watch each group’s work every Thursday and then evaluate the feeling after posting it. On the one hand, I read other people’s works, I will think about what I can feel from these assessments. On the other hand, through everyone’s discussion, I can appreciate each work from different angles. That is really good for my learning.

In general, study through this course. I learned a lot of things, especially creativity thinking and using some materials to show my thoughts. I really think that what I have learned in this course will help me in my future media career. Different perspectives, collaboration, experiences and skills are very important. At the same time, I am also very grateful for the help given by this semester teacher and many useful suggestions, which is also very useful for my later study.
