We put all things together in this final week: working on our wix website, editing videos, and thinking about the quiz and what we really want to ask from the audience.
First of all, I unintentionally found an article about attention and distraction that could reinforce our idea about attention and interest. Some distractions may feel more welcome than others; nonetheless they may all interfere with successful concentration on the task, with the irrelevant stimuli effectively capturing attention (Lavie, 2010). I might misunderstand the concept or the idea, but I personally thought that the distraction means that it is more interesting than other things or something that you are doing. For our project, it is not a distraction but I would say it is something that appears to be most memorable, or more interesting for the audience that they literally want to pay attention/focus on or can remember it out of all those videos and images. What we want people to notice and why they give attention to that thing which is also a reason why we produce the video as a long one instead of separating them (I talked about this idea in my last post).
For our wix website, it is designed to be easy to use, the site looks clean and clear which all the contents are easily to found. I thought that we try to respond to the concept of cross-platform which few types of contents are all in together such as video embed links and quiz. I thought that it also offered more engaging contents and more approach to the project.
For this project, I hope that we produce project creatively in terms of responding to a variety of characteristics offered by online spaces (interactivity, user contribution, cross platform and nonfiction content) as well as, presenting a clear idea about what our project aimed for.
