Last month, I spend every morning searching for an internship. I went to Australian Guild of Screen Composer website and reach all composers based in Melbourne. Some of them reply but none of them can offer me an internship position. I change my approach to animation studios. Finally, CREATIVA, Animation studio/ Video Production company has offered me as an intern Composer/Sound Designer.

The first day, Tom Brunsdon – Internship supervisor gave me a short video to put on the Sound effects as a practice and to get familiar with their sound effect library. After that, Steve, the producer asked me to do sound design and music editing for whiteboard video about Share. for Sigma Health. The video was 4 minutes long and there are lots of movement that needs to be articulated. I started be collecting sound effects and mark down where to put them. After that, Spyro, another producer ask me to score and sound design for advertising video for CMI Design. I didn’t have any composition tools with myself at that moment, fortunately, he allowed me to compose from home. I continued working on Sigma Project, at the end of the day, Steve thought that the video was too long and there was too many information, some part was too quick. Therefore, he asked Micheal the animation to put more gap between the scene and also slow down some parts. Tomorrow, I will start my work from home by scoring the CMI Video, then I will go to the office to finishing up the Sigma.
