Trying to figure out where to go next can be hard.
When starting project brief 2 I decided to keep my original theme of ‘A day in the life of… Me”. This theme expressed my identity in both a creative and obvious way. It allowed me to take an obvious approach and use the various types of mediums to put my creative spin on it.
Thinking I could use much of the same footage taken, I begun to edit my bits and pieces together. After having a chat with the other students as well as my tutor, I realised that this wouldn’t work. Much of my footage was of poor quality and due to the time restraints of project brief 1 there just wasn’t enough in the existing footage that I could work with.
So where to from here?
I set out each of my existing footage that worked well in iMovie. From here I was able to see what was missing and what needed to be retaken. I was able to use some of the extra footage that I didn’t use in project brief 1 which helped me set out a clearer flow.
Now I have a clearer direction of where to go next. I know exactly what I need to retake and where exactly everything fits within my clip.
