We were talking about lighting in week 10 and I was helping with Amy and Natalie doing the lighting testing in week 11 tutorial.

Lighting is alway important in film making. Lighting can help  create the mood and the atmosphere we want for our film, dramatic or creepy feeling can all create by change the light setting.

For week 11 testing, it is kind of good experience to really see how the different lights working. So we have 1K, 2K, dedolight, and LED light. Since we didn’t have enough space for the 1K and 2K ARRI light, they are too strong for small space, we might need something like a light box or filter to make the softer. I tried to bounce the light to the ceiling( which is white) and it will bounce back to the floor, I use a reflector so the light can bounce back to the actor.

Dedolight is quit useful when we try to light up something when the distance is very close. And it did create a good effect. It is small and light so easy to carry.

LEDlight, when we try to create a blue light. As showed in the video, it is quite useful for creating a cold light and we can also using filter to change the color. It is quite easy to use and carry(easier than the 2 ARRI light).
