1. Credits 

• Sophie reads the diary 

1. Sophie sends three letters to three men 
2. Sophie explains to her friends that she has read her mother, Donna’s, diary, and found out she has three possible fathers, who she has each invited to give her away at her wedding pretending to be Donna   
3. Each father arrives thinking Donna wrote to them. 
4. Sophie panics and hides them in the family barn.

2. Donna meets the fathers 

1. Donna who owns a dodgy hotel, is making repairs when a mosaic in the courtyard splits thanks to a minor tremor. 
2. Donna goes into the family barn for tools, and sees all three exes inside and asks them to leave 
3. The men stay in one of the men’s, Bill’s, boat in the harbour instead
4. Donna is comforted by her friends who have also come for the wedding and they successfully lift her spirits
5. Sophie talks to the fathers in the boat and convinces them to stay for the wedding.  
6. Sophie shared a moment with fiancé Sky on the beach  

3. The bachelorette party 

1. Sophie has a bachelorette party where her mum and family friends perform a song from their old band 
2. The three fathers come to the party
3. The bachelor party invade the bachelorette party and dancing chaos ensues 
4. Sophie talks to each of the fathers and they all realise they could be her father and tell her they’re going to give her away at the wedding 
5. Sophie faints over all the commotion 

4. Reparations

1. To avoid hurting anyone Sophie instead asks Donna to give her away 
2. Each father offers Donna a gift for their absence in raising Sophie
3. Donna’s friends ignore the advances of Sky’s friends
4.  Sophie tells Sky what she has done, and he is unsupportive and they have a minor argument
5. Sophie asks Donna to help her get ready for the wedding and they remember the times of Sophie growing up together 
6. Donna tells one of the fathers, who she has the most romantic connection to, Sam, to cease talking to her and runs into the wedding. 

5. Finale

1. Donna confesses to everyone in attendance the issue with all three fathers
2. Sky and Sophie decide to not get married and instead travel together 
3. Sam proposes to Donna and reveals he had broken off his engagement to be with her all those years ago, but once again left upon seeing her with one of the other fathers
4. Sam teases that the wedding isn’t wasted if he and Donna marry right now and she agrees 
5. Sophie and Sky sail away on their travels and leave Donna, Sam, the fathers and and Donna’s friends to the island
